War (in Iraq) is over if you want it

As the war in Iraq draws to a close, here are a few of my favorite Iraq cartoons -- in fact, my entire cartooning career has coincided with this bloody war.

A Gray Day for Fenty

The stakes are high in DC's mayoral primary competition which is just around the corner.  Tonight's straw poll in Ward 5 is still coming in but it seems Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray is ahead of the incumbent, Mayor Adrien Fenty.

The mycelium must be tingling

From Ithaca emerges a new sensation - The Mushroom Forager.

My friends Ari Rockland-Miller and Jenna Antonino-Dimare have just launched a blog on all things fungi.  Ari and Jenna have a keen sense for cooking 'shrooms and excel in exploring every end the forest (along with their K9 compatriot Judah) in search of edible treats (see cartoon above, sans Jenna).

Beyond that, Ari's descriptive prose puts the reader in the woods next to him, and Jenna's photos are just downright trippy. Why haven't you added The Forager to your RSS feed yet?

Mike Mullen's Options

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen certainly caught my attention on the Sunday talkies. All options with regard to Iran are "on the table" .... oy.
